NEET 2020 Application Form - The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a one-stop national level examination for undergraduate courses. Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for giving admission to MBBS and BDS courses, the application forms for NEET are expected to be released in the month of January 2020. Aspirants who wish to take the examination have ample time to prepare and we will keep you posted with all the latest and relevant information.

NEET 2020 Application Form is the only way aspirants can apply for undergraduate courses at various medical and dental colleges across the country. The top colleges and universities in India will admit students only on the basis of NEET 2020 exam. NEET 2020 will be conducted in the online mode only (Like last year) and the scores will be accepted at all the medical and dental colleges across India.

NEET 2020 Application Form will be tentatively released in January 2020 on the official website of CBSE NEET, once the notification is out. After successfully registering online, candidates will receive a registration number for future references. The Email ID provided by the candidate will be used as a source of communication by the exam conducting authority.

NEET 2020 Application Form: Things to keep in mind

  • The NEET 2020 Application Form can be filled online only on the official website.
  • Offline applications will not be accepted for NEET 2020.
  • Aspirants must read the information brochure thoroughly before filling up the application form.
  • All Indian citizens must provide Aadhaar Card details during registration.
  • Candidates from J&K, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, who opted for seats under 15% All India quota, will have to provide a self-declaration during the application process.
  • The NEET 2020 Application Form can be filled tentatively between January and March 2020.
  • The scanned image of the passport size photograph and signature must be in the JPG format and in the required size.

NEET 2020 Application Process

Candidates who wish to apply for the MBBS and BDS courses at top medical and dental colleges across India must register for NEET 2020 on the official website of CBSE NEET. Here are the steps candidates need to follow in order to fill up the NEET 2020 Application Form.

  • Candidate must visit the official website of CBSE NEET to fill the application form (http://cbseneet.nic.in/).
  • Under online services, the candidate must click on the ‘Apply online’ button.
  • Candidate must read the important instructions carefully and complete the first part of the application process, i.e. online registration.
  • After completing the online registration, a registration number will be generated. Note it down for future references.
  • Once the application form is complete and submitted, the candidate will be redirected to the fee payment page.
  • Candidate must choose the mode of payment and make the necessary payment.

NEET 2020 Application Form: Step by Step Details

Step 1 - Download the information brochure:

Each candidate must log on to the official website of CBSE NEET to download the NEET 2020 information brochure. They must go through the brochure very carefully and see whether they fulfill the eligibility criteria along with other exam details.

Step 2 - Fill the NEET 2020 Application Form:

The NEET 2020 application form can be filled via online mode only. The candidates will have to provide information like their name, date of birth, contact details (address, email ID, phone number), and academic qualifications. Once all the details are submitted, a registration number will be generated.

Step 3 - Upload Digital Images:

In this step, candidates will have to log in again using the registration number and upload their latest passport size photograph (Format: JPEG, Size: 10 KB to 100 KB), candidate signature and the right-hand thumb impression (Format: JPEG, Size: 3 KB to 20 KB).

Step 4 - NEET Application Fee payment:

Once the candidate has successfully registered and uploaded the digital images, he/she has to pay the application fee. The fee can be paid either online or offline.

The online payment can be made via debit card, credit card or net banking. The offline payment can be done via e-challan by depositing fee in CBSE’s bank account in ICICI Bank, Syndicate Bank, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank. The e-challan will be generated after the NEET 2020 Application Form is filled.

Step 5 - Confirmation page Generation:

Once the application fee is successfully paid, a confirmation page will be generated on the screen. Candidates can download and take a printout of this page for future reference.

NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants planning to fill up the NEET 2020 Application Form must go through the eligibility criteria for NEET first. They are requested to read the criterion carefully and ensure that they satisfy all the requirements.

Eligibility criteria for 15% All India Quota Seats

  • The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of filling the NEET 2020 application form or should complete the age on or before December 31, 2020.
  • The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on December 31, 2020. Further, provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward-Classes.

The criterion for candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and J&K

  • Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K are not eligible for the 15% All India quota seats as these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit a Self Declaration online, while filling the NEET 2020 Application Form, which will be generated and printed automatically along with the confirmation page for the record and to must be present during the counseling.
  • The online Self Declaration of the candidates will be verified at the time of counseling and if found to be false at any time, the candidature/admission of such candidates shall be canceled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.
  • Candidates from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K can appear in the NEET exam for admission to Private Medical/Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, subject to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions.

Eligibility criteria for seats under the control of States/Universities/AFMC

  • The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of filling the NEET 2020 Application Form or should complete the age on or before December 31, 2020.
  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to the rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments and the Government of India.
  • The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under seats in the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be as per their rules and regulations.
