NEET PG 2020 Result ­– Once NEET PG 2020 exams will be conducted successfully and over, National Board of Examination (NBE), the official NEET PG exam conducting body, will announce NEET PG result on the official website. An acronym for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Post Graduate, NEET PG is a single, eligibility cum entrance exam that is held every year to grant admission to MBBS and BDS graduates who want to pursue MD, MS and PG diploma courses in any of the top medical colleges as well as those who want to pursue any of the specializations in from the top dental colleges from all over India.  

As soon as NBE will announce NEET PG 2020 Result on the official website, candidates will be able to check their NEET PG exam results by submitting testing ID and date of birth. NEET PG result 2020 is expected to be announced somewhere in the third week of January 2020. As a candidate will submit the required details in the respective fields provided for the same on NBE’s official website, s/he will be able to download the score card containing candidate’s marks and all India rank. This process will remain the same for NEET MDS aspirants. With this, students will get somewhat a clear picture as to which college they might get admission into.

NBE announces NEET PG 2020 Result two different results every year – one for All India 50 percent Quota Seats and another for state quota seats/AFMS institutes and other private medical colleges. Candidates who qualify the exam can participate in NEET PG 2020 counselling for All India Quota and State Quota Seats basis their NEET PG result or percentile. The score card that candidates will download from the official website will enable them to check NEET PG cut off score, rank and NEET PG score.  

NEET PG 2020 Result: How to Download Score Card 

NBE will upload NEET PG 2020 result on the official website only wherefrom candidates will be able to download their score card. NEET PG result will also be available on the candidate’s login account. The result of NEET PG 2020 will be uploaded in a pdf file format where candidates will be able to see the cut-off score, name of the candidate, rank secured and score. Here are the simple steps mentioned hereunder for checking their NEET PG result without wasting too much of time or facing any hassles.

  • Visit the official website of NBE i.e. nbe.gov.in
  • Select NEET PG 2020
  • Candidates now need to enter confirmation number
  • On the next step to check NEET PG 2020 result, aspirants need to enter NEET PG 2020 Testing ID.
  • Once done, now the candidate needs to enter date of birth
  • Now cross check the particulars and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • A new window will open showing the candidate’s NEET PG score.
  • Candidates are advised to download, save and take the printout of the NEET PG result for future reference.

NEET PG 2020 Result Announcement

NEET PG 2020 result will be announced for the following categories:

  • NBE will announce NEET PG 2020 result for 50 percent quota seats for MD/MS/PG diploma courses. These seats will be valid to all the states other than Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. Medical Council Committee (MCC) of Directorate General of Health Services conducts the counselling for All India 50 percent quota seats basis NEET 2020 score.  
  • State quota seats for MD/MS/PG diploma courses for all states and union territories of India (including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir)
  • MD/MS/PG diploma courses at Institutions, Private Medical Colleges and Deemed Universities all over India as these institutes will also give students admission basis NEET PG 2020 Result score.
  • MD/MS/PG diploma courses for admission to PG Medical Colleges at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions (AFMS).
  • NEET PG result will also be announced for admission to DNB CET Broad speciality courses.

Candidates who have obtained and cleared the minimum qualifying marks will be declared qualified. To check and get the NEET PG result, candidates need to provide some details in the asterisk marked space. The required particulars to check result of NEET PG 2020 may include Testing ID, Confirmation Number and Date of Birth. NEET PG 2020 Result will be valid for a specific period. If two or more candidates are contesting for the same rank in the merit list, ‘Inter Se’ merit will be used to determine the result. In ‘Inter Se’, older candidates are given preference over the younger ones.  

NEET PG 2020 Result Scorecard

Once NEET PG result will be out, candidates will be able to download NEET PG scorecard, which will be valid for one year. After the result, NBE will also release NEET PG merit list. NEET PG scorecard will contain the following details.

  • Name of the candidate
  • Roll number of the candidate
  • Date of birth
  • Category of the candidate
  • All India rank of the candidates
  • Total marks obtained
  • All India 50 percent quota rank of the individual
  • Category specific rank for All India 50 percent quota seats

NEET PG 2020 Result and Qualifying Criteria

To become eligible for admission into the medical and dental colleges of India, candidates usually have to score high in NEET PG 2020 result. The computer based exam will be of 3 hours and 30 minutes of duration. Based on the NEET PG syllabus as is prescribed by NBE, the exam contains 300 multiple-choice questions. The point here worth noticing is, NEET PG exam pattern for MD/MD/PG diploma course and MDS course is almost the same. However, the syllabus for both the stream is different. As per the NEET PG Exam pattern, the exam duration will remain the same for both MS/MD/PG Diploma Courses and MDS but there will be 240 multiple-choice questions for the latter.

It is mandatory for candidates to secure the minimum marks in NEET PG result as per their category. The minimum pass percent criteria as per the notice board and what was recently revised is as follows.
