NEET 2020 Exam Pattern – NEET, also known as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, is a national level medical examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The exam is conducted for aspirants to seek admissions in MBBS and BDS courses at various medical and dental colleges across the country. CBSE has set a fixed exam pattern for NEET 2020 that the candidates must follow to crack the exam with high percentile and ensure they seek admission in the top colleges.

NEET 2020 Exam Pattern is very important for aspirants who wish to seek admission in MBBS and BDS courses so that they can focus their studies, plan their preparation strategy and allocate time to each subject accordingly.

Keeping the NEET 2020 Exam Pattern in mind is the key since NEET is the only national level medical examination and hence the competition is going to be really tough. This would require extensive preparation and focus as per the NEET exam pattern. The NEET scores are accepted at all the top medical and dental colleges at the state, as well as national level. CBSE will conduct the exam in an online mode in the month of May 2020 and the application forms would be available tentatively in January 2020.

Detailed NEET 2020 Exam Pattern

Mode of Examination:

As per the NEET 2020 Exam Pattern, the NEET exam will be a pen and paper based exam. The candidates will have to mark their answers in an OMR sheet using a ball-point pen (Blue/Black).

Number of Questions:

There will be a total of 180 objective type questions spread over three sections as per NEET 2020 Exam Pattern. The Physics and Chemistry section will contain 45 questions each. The Biology section will contain 90 questions.

Language:

NEET 2020 will be conducted in ten languages including English and Hindi. The regional languages include Oriya, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati and Assamese. The candidates can opt for their choice of language at the time of filling up the NEET application form.

Syllabus:

As per the NEET 2020 Exam Pattern, the question paper will consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology taught at the 10+2 level after review of the various state level syllabus as well as CBSE, NCERT, and COBSE.

Marking Scheme:

For each correct answer, a candidate will be awarded 4 marks. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. There will be no negative marking for un-attempted questions.
