History: Hans Raj College is a constituent college of the Delhi University, situated in Malkaganj, North Campus. The college was founded on 26^th July 1948 by the DAV College Managing Committee, in memory of Mahatma Hans Raj, who is considered to be a pioneer in the field of education. It is one of the 700 institutions of the DAV group and currently has more than 5,000 students on its rolls.

Courses: The College offers under-graduate and post-graduate studies in Science, Arts and Commerce streams. Apart from this, it also offers Certificate/Diploma level courses in the foreign languages (French, German). It is consistently ranked among the top 10 Colleges of the country.

Infra: The College ensures the complete development of the mind and soul of its students through its curriculum and thus, has built up a huge infrastructure to promote growth among its students. Its vast infrastructure includes six Computer Labs., 18 Science laboratories, fully air-conditioned auditorium fitted with sound and light systems, with a seating capacity of 500 persons, a hostel accommodating about 200 undergraduate boys and is fitted with solar geysers and 24 hours Power back up. It is one of the few colleges in the country to possess an indoor badminton court and a state-of-the-art indoor shooting range. The College also has an active Placement Cell.

Clubs/Society: There are also numerous clubs and societies in the college, namely, Pixels: Photography Society, Insignia: English Literary Society, Terpsi Chorean: Choreography Society and Colloquium: Group Discussion Forum.

Alumni: Some of its famous alumni include Shah Rukh Khan (Actor), Ajay Maken (Politician), Dr. Palash Sen (Musician and Actor), Vinod Dua (Journalist) and Aditya Jha (Entrepreneur).
