XAT Eligibility Criteria 2020

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Eligibility norms for XAT 2020 has been announced with the release of XAT bulletin on August 14. However, XLRI specifies some criteria for the admission which remain same every year and unlikely to change for this year too. All the interested candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria of XAT. If candidates fail to meet the eligibility norms, they will not be allowed to attend the further admission rounds or their candidature will be cancelled by the exam conducting body. XAT applicant must be a graduate or the student of final year of graduation. There is no definite cut-off or percentage in the graduation.

XAT exam date has been announced by XLRI i.e. January 7. 2020. The application process of XAT 2020 has begun from August 16, 2020. The last date to apply for XAT exam is November 30. Apart from XLRI, around 100 B-schools across the country accept the score card of Xavier Aptitude Test.

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2020

  • All the candidates who wish to pursue MBA from XLRI or other prestigious participating institutes must fulfil the XAT eligibility criteria 2020. Following are the eligibility norms as prescribed by XLRI:
  • Applicants must have done graduation of minimum three years from any recognized university or institute in any disciple.
  • There is no minimum percentage in graduation required for the admission.
  • Final year students of bachelor’s degree can also apply for the XAT 2020. They must complete their graduation by June 10 , 2020
  • International candidates except Kathmandu and Dubai can apply through their GMAT scores. Candidates residing in Kathmandu and Dubai can apply directly for XAT 2020.
  • The XAT 2020 admission criteria may vary from B-school to B-school. Some of the institutes may also additionally consider past academic record and/or work experience as well.

XAT Eligibility Criteria 2020: XLRI Programmes

XAT scores are accepted by several other b-schools except for XLRI. There are 11 member institutes and approximately 150 other XAT participating institutes. All the XAT applicants will have to select a programme which they want to pursue. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of all the XLRI programmes before selecting any programme.

Human Resource Management (HRM)

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree of minimum three years in any disciple.
  • Also, the final year students can apply for the same but they must complete their graduation by June 10, 2020

Business Management (BM)

Eligibility Criteria of business management programme is similar to that of human resource management.

General Management Programme

Applicants must have done their graduation from India or abroad for at least five years of managerial/supervisory experience by March 31, 2020.

How to apply for XAT 2020?

The application process of XAT 2020 has started from August 16, 2020.Candidates who will fulfil the eligibility criteria of XAT 2020 can apply for the same. The application process will be completely online. To complete the XAT registration process, candidates will need to enter their personal details like name, date of birth, cast, permanent address, academic details and work experience. They will have to upload scanned images of required documents. The application fee for XAT can be paid through online or offline mode.

XAT Exam Pattern 2020

Unlike every year, XAT 2020 will be conducted in online mode.  There will be both objective and subjective type of questions in the exam. The test will be divided into two parts. Verbal & logical ability, Decision making & quantitative ability and data interpretation will be asked in Paper 1. Paper 2 will be comprised of essay writing and general knowledge.

XAT is one of the most important exams in India conducted for the admission into various management courses. Every year around 1 lakh candidates appear for XAT exam. The result of XAT 2020 will be declared in the last week of January, 2020. On the basis of XAT result, candidates will be shortlisted for the further selection procedures. The final result will be published on the basis of overall performance in the entire XAT selection process 2020.
