Executive Trainee (Mechanical) –

Candidates applying for this vacancy need to hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Production Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or Mechanical & Automation Engineering with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks or equivalent from a recognised university.

Executive Trainee (Civil) –

Age Limit for NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2020:

The upper age limit is 27 years as on the last date of online application (January 31, 2020). The age relaxation is as follows:

• 5 years SC/ST
• 3 years for OBC
• 10 years for PwD-General
• 13 years for PwD-OBC
• 15 years for PwD-SC/ST

Valid GATE Score for NTPC Recruitment through GATE 2020:

The score of the candidates in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 will be a determining factor in the selection. The graduate engineers who are interested in taking up a career in NHPC need to appear for GATE 2020 in the relevant disciplines.

On the basis of the GATE score, candidates will then be qualified for the next selection rounds consisting of a group discussion and a personal interview to assess a candidates’ understanding of different facets, skills and attitude. Candidates have to first successfully pass the GATE-2020 examination and after that the GD and PI to make it to the selection. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of GATE score, GD and PI scores, and will as per each discipline.

The following table shows the cut-off GATE score for each branch for candidates applying for NTPC. Candidates must note that these scores are as per last year and the fresh cut-off will be uploaded after the GATE 2020 exam is over.

Application Process for NTPC recruitment through GATE 2020:

• Candidates can apply for the vacancies in NTPC on the basis of the registration number printed on the GATE 2020 Admit Card
• The candidates will have to pay the application fee before registering online. A scanned copy of the pay slip with the candidate's signature and the bank stamp must be ready for uploading during the filling up of the form. The SC, ST and PWD category candidates are exempted from paying the fees
• Candidates must upload a latest coloured photograph with the file size lesser than 500 KB and in the JPG form
• Once the registration process is over, a unique ID registration number will be generated
• Candidates must take a printout of the registration slip for future reference

Salary Structure for NTPC recruitment through GATE 2020:

NTPC Limited offers one of the best pay packages in the industry. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of INR 24,900- INR 50,500 at the basic pay of INR 24,900/- during one-year training. These candidates will be absorbed after successful completion of training as Assistant Manager in the pay scale of INR 24,900- INR 50,500 at a basic pay of INR 25,650/-.

Besides basic pay, candidates will also be paid Dearness Allowance and will also be entitled to other perquisites & allowances under cafeteria approach. Benefits such as leave, medical treatment, Provident Fund, Gratuity, etc. will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training and/or after absorption.
