BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2020 – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has released an official notification for recruiting graduate engineers in Mechanical, Chemical and instrumental engineering through GATE 2020. BPCL will recruit Graduate Engineers in the discipline of ‘Mechanical Engineering’ for the post of ‘Management Trainee’ through GATE Exam 2020. Candidates can start applying online from January 5, 2020. Eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment till 02 February 2020. The GATE 2020 Examination is scheduled to be held on February 03, 04, 10 & 11, 2020.

• Candidates should have completed graduation or equivalent (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc) through AICTE/UGC approved Indian universities or institutes in the first attempt.
• Candidates should have secured at least 60 percent marks in qualifying degree examinations. In case of SC/ST/PwD category candidates, the relaxation is up to 50 percent.
• Candidates who have passed integrated courses or courses with five years or more duration are NOT eligible.
• Final year students are also eligible to apply for the recruitment process through GATE 2020.
• Candidates should not be more than 25 years of age (28 for OBC candidates and 30 for SC/ST candidates).

BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2020- Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the following parameters-

• GATE Scores- Shortlisting of candidates based on GATE 2020 scores in mechanical and chemical disciplines.
• Further Shortlisting- This will include Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)
• Final Selection- The final selection will be based on medical fitness in pre-employment medical examination

Candidates may note that the above modes of shortlisting, at the preliminary level, psychometric tests or any other selection tools/ tests may be considered, at the sole discretion of the management. All the candidates have to qualify each stage to move forward for being selected.

How to Apply for BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2020?

Given below are the simple steps to apply for the recruitment process –

1. Register for GATE 2020
2. Register on BPCL’s official website after obtaining GATE 2020 registration number from January 5 to February 2, 2020.
3. After successful submission of the application form, unique application ID would be generated along with the completed form and will be sent to your registered email ID.
4. Appear for GATE 2020 scheduled on February 3 and 4, 2020 and February 10 and 11, 2020.

Instructions to Apply

1. The application process for GATE 2020 is entirely online. After downloading the GATE admit card and receipt of GATE registration number, candidates need to apply online at BPCL’s website.
2. Once you have filled the application form for BPCL, submit the form. If it is accepted, the system will generate a unique ID along with the completed application form.
3. Take a printout of the completed form, affix your passport size photograph and sign at the place provided. The same will have to be submitted in case of shortlisting for selection in next rounds.
4. If you are called for further selection process, your identification would be verified with admit card and official score card of GATE.
5. BPCL will consider only GATE 2020 marks.

BPCL Recruitment through GATE 2020 Salary Structure

1. Candidates selected as Management Trainee would be normally placed in Job Group ‘A’, with a basic salary of INR 24900 (Scale of pay INR 24900-50500). In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA) based on IDA pattern is payable. House Rent Assistance, if applicable will vary based on the class of city of posting.
2. The total emoluments at the entry level for Management Trainees are presently INR 10.5 lakh per annum. This includes 50 percent of Basic pay as perks and allowances, performance related pay and 30 percent of basic plus DA as superannuation benefits (provident fund, gratuity and new pension scheme). The prerequisites include housing/vehicle loan facilities, medical reimbursement for self/dependent family members, LFA, holiday home facility, group savings-linked insurance scheme etc.
3. The CTC mentioned above is due for an upward revision in 2020, effective from January 1, 2020.
