JEE Main exam is the biggest engineering exam for undergraduate engineering admissions to IITs, NITs, CFTIs and various other engineering colleges in the country.  The pen-and-paper based JEE Main 2020 exam was successfully conducted on April 2, 2020. The difficulty level of the offline exam was 'Easy to Moderate.' The students said that the offline exam was almost on the same lines as last year’s JEE Main paper. However, they felt that the NCERT books were not enough for JEE Main preparation and they had to refer to more books.

Students preferred giving the online exam over the offline exam for the following reasons:

  • The online exam gives them more time between the board exams getting over and the JEE Main online exam day.
  • The online mode of the exam requires less effort on the part of the student.
  • JEE Main online exam enables rechecking and reviewing of answers.
  • There was flexibility to choose the day and slot timing of the exam.
