There are various posts for which you can apply at the International Court of Justice. Broadly, they can be divided into Professional category and General category. Staff in the Professional category has to have international expertise in a particular aspect of the Court’s work. The minimum requirements are described in each vacancy announcement and include a University degree, proficiency in either English or French and good working knowledge of the other.

Candidates interested in a position in the General Service category, such as a secretarial, clerical, word processing or accounting position may apply for any such vacancy if they meet the minimum requirements set out in the relevant vacancy announcement, including proficiency in either English or French and working knowledge of the other.

The court also offers internship programme. However, this does not guarantee permanent job at the International Court of Justice.

As far you pursuing an LLB is concerned, that is a good way to go. You can then either pursue your LLM in India or at a foreign university, specializing in your field of interest. We also suggest that you may want to look at the option of doing a combination course like BA-LLB, BBA-LLB, B. Com-LLB etc. What this does is that it gives you exposure on other career aspects as well (which is a safe place to be in case you want to change your career path in future. And it does not hamper your Law career as well).
