Admission Procedure & Exams

At Undergraduate Level

Those seeking admission to degree courses in Interior Designing would find a couple of national and state-level entrance tests as initial challenges that call for due diligence and attention. While some colleges and universities expect students to clear NID Entrance Exam, AIEED and other such exams, others allow direct admission into undergraduate level interior designing courses based on their interview and aggregate scores in 10+2 or equivalent exams.

Interior Designing Entrance Exams

AIEED -  It is conducted by ARCH Academy of Design and focuses on exploring a candidate’s aesthetic sense, creativity and design aptitude. Colleges that accept AIEED scores include NMIMS University, School of Planning and Architecture, Sir JJ Institute of Applied Arts, and so on.

NID Entrance Test - It is conducted by National Institute of Design

Symbiosis Entrance Test – In order to pick deserving candidates for various interior design courses (UG level), Symbiosis International University conducts SET every year.

Counselling and College Allocation – After getting quality scores in their respective entrance exams, aspirants need to appear for counselling at their preferred colleges whose cut-off limit decides whether they would get admission to UG level interior designing courses or not. Once counselling is over, interior designing colleges allocate seats to deserving aspirants.
