The Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies was established by the Upnagar Shikshan Mandal with a grant from the Kamla Raheja Foundation. In the formulating of this agenda one of the processes involved was a review of conventionally existing modes of architectural education, research and practice. It has become an important centre for the production of knowledge on urbanity, especially in the Indian context.

College Facility

Laboratory

  • Computer lab is equipped with 37 PCs. The configuration of the computer ranges from P-IV 2.0 - 2.8 Dual Core, to Core 2 Duo with RAM ranging from 256 MB to 1.0 GB; as per the usage of the computer. The computer lab is also equipped with facilities like Printers, Scanner, Internet connection and wi-fi service.

Library

  • The Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies Library has a rapidly growing collection of books on architecture and other arts from the world, covering their development through historical periods and philosophical values they embody. Also included in the library are the books on literature, cinema, photography, history and philosophy.

ExtraCurricular

  • Through its varied research and consultancy projects, and within the undergraduate curricular and extra-curricular programs, the KRVIA has engaged actively with the city and provided an important platform for debate and discussion.
