Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) is one of the leading design institutes of India. These include well-equipped model making (Metal & Non-Metal) Workshops, a Clay and Ceramic Studio, a Rapid Prototyping and Cintiq Lab, a Computer Lab, a Digital Instruction Lab, an User Experience Lab, a Recording and an Editing Studio, a CAD Lab, a Material Library, a 2D and 3D Animation Lab, Animation Studios, a Photography Lab, a Printing Lab, a Film and Video Studio, a Garment Construction Lab, a Pattern Making Lab and Textile labs.

Institute imparts hostel facilities for only girls. The hostel of the vimal nagar campus has three wings viz.A, B and C. The accommodation capacity of the vimal nagar campus hotel is 980 girls. Each hostel wing can accommodate 180 students. All the hostel rooms are well kit out with bed, mattress, table, chair, bulletin board, book rack and cupboard with an attached bathroom and toilet.
Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has an active placement cell. The cell of the institute works as a coordinator between industry and the students. The placement cell invites firms for the pre -placement activities in their campus and also for the final placement. The institute placed its students in firms like infosys, Autoline Industries Ltd, Cognizant Ltd, Whirlpool, Mudra Communications, etc.
