Pune Institute of Computer technology (PICT) is an engineering college, affiliated to University of Pune, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by NAAC. PICT is one of the first rated institutes imparting supreme education and research facilities for the future professionals in engineering and computer domain. The institute was commenced in the year 1983 for imparting undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Institute is fully committed making learner technical strong and augmenting them for making creative things. The mission of the institute is to be the leading and most sought after institute of education & research in emerging engineering and technology disciplines that attracts, retains and sustains gifted individuals of significant potential.
The institute has open and air conditioned classrooms, which are well equipped with modern facilities, such as audio systems, Overhead Projects. The seating are designed to provide students with complete comfort for the intense hours of classrooms teaching and interaction.
All labs are equipped with latest equipments.
The library of the institute is well stocked with paper & non-paper collection. The library collection comprises journals, books, video lectures, etc. All the resources of the institute are well upto date and well organized. Institute Library has a very Spacious Reading Hall with very good infrastructure which is quite comfortable & conducive to reading & learning.
There is Separate Boys & Girls Hostel in the Campus having total capacity of 200 student’s accommodation. Boy’s & Girl’s Hostel have total 35 and 63 rooms respectively and all rooms are attached with toilets & bathroom and in each room 2 students are allowed to stay.
The students at PICT are also encouraged to participate in various dance, music, drama competitions throughout the year.
The Training & Placement cell of the institute motivates learners for making career in their respective fields. The Training & Placement cell of institute is managed by Dr. G.S.Mundada (TPO). The placement cell strives hard and tries to create maximum jobs opportunity for the student. The T&P cell imparts excellent infrastructure facilities for the interviews; also cell has wireless connectivity with company operation rooms, interview rooms and student coordination rooms. The objective of the Training & Placement cell is to arrange training programs for students to meet the opportunities for placement.
