Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic established by the Trust in 1982, was the first private polytechnic started in the undivided South Kanara district. It is recognised by the Government of Karnataka and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. NRAM Polytechnic is affiliated to the Board of Technical Examination, Bangalore.

College Facility

Laboratory

  • The Polytechnic is provided with laboratories, workshops and machine-shops, which are fully equipped with adequate machines. The Computer Centre has a 64 bit NT Server and Novell network as LAN servers. The students can also make use of the Internet facility at the Institute. The centre has more than 100 terminals, with PIV and Celeron processors with WINDOWS / NT.

Library

  • The library has a total floor area of 9,508 sq.ft. It has about 10,945 volumes on various subjects of engineering for study, reference and research. The computerised facilities in the library provide for easy access and reference work.

Hostel

  • Hostel facility is available for outstation students on a cost sharing basis. Each hosteller is provided with a cot, table, chair and cupboard. The hostels have both a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian mess. Other facilities include visitors parlour, common telephone, TV/reading room, solar heated water facility and generators.
