National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, (NIPER Hajipur, Vaishali) is one of the top institutes for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute came into effect in 2007, for providing quality research based education in the state of Bihar. The National Institute of Pharmaceudical Education and Research prepares professional for making Drugs to make human life healthy and better by developing their quantitative & scientific skills. The Institute will attract students, teachers and research scientists from all over the country. It is an outcome of initiative taken by Government of India with the help of Bihar Government to provide state of art facilities for developing manpower with higher skills R&D services to the pharmaceutical sciences. The Institute has admitted students for three postgraduate programs for the academic year 2007-08- M.s. (Pharm.) Pharmaco-informatics, M.s. (Pharm.) Pharmacy Practice and M.s. (Pharm.) Biotechnology.The classes are proposed to be started at NIPER Hajipur-Vaishali (EPIP campus) . and practical classes at Mentor Institute. In future after the setting up a permanent campus of NIPER, Hajipur several new post-graduate courses and doctoral courses would be started.
