Majuli College established with a sacred mission of illuminating the river-island and removing the darkness of ignorance, Majuli College is the premier institution of higher education in Majuli. College takes pride in having produced a galaxy of qualified professionals who are now engaged successfully in various fields of life.

College Facility

Classroom

  • Apart from Teachers' Common Room, there are two Students' Common Rooms : one for the boys and the other for the girls. The Common Rooms are well-furnished and well-equipped with facilities for playing table-tennis, carrom, chess, ludo and badminton.

Laboratory

  • There are six laboratories in all. Out of these six, there are four laboratories in Science, one laboratory in Arts and one common laboratory for both Arts & Science. They are Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Education and Geography respectively. These laboratories are running in newly constructed buildings in neat and clean atmosphere.

Library

  • The library of Majuli College is located in a separate building within the college premises. The central library of a college is the mirror of the intellectual resources it possesses. It is equipped with a commodious Reading Room for the benefit of both teachers and students and other general readers. There is a plan to extend the space of the Reading Room to accommodate larger numbers of readers in future.

Hostel

  • A two storied Girls' Hostel equipped with all facilities is under construction in the college premises and is likely to be opened for use of the students in about six months from now. The hostel is expected to put an end to the long-standing problem of inadequate lodging facilities in the vicinity of the college being faced by the girls of the college.

ExtraCurricular

  • The College has a Unit of National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) for generating awareness towards social service among students. Under this scheme a team of students desirous of rendering social service organizes camps in backward area both within and outside Majuli every year. Such students are issued certificates on successful completion of their camps. The college has a Senior Divisional National Cadet Corps (NCC) Army Wing with the strength of 100 cadets (boys) under an N.C.C. officer chosen from
