The Madras Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology is committed to offer quality education training in india to those aspiring to be the future managers in the hotel industry. Established by Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust in the year 1996 and affiliated to Alagappa University. The college offers B.Sc Degree in Catering & Hotel Administration, Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management, International Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Catering Hotel Administration and other Diploma courses.

  • Accommodation facilities have been provided for both boys & girls separately. The hostel is located close to the Institute. The Institute has a Cafeteria and it provides Indian & Continental food for the inmates.

ExtraCurricular

  • The Institute conducts cultural programmes every year for the students to exhibit their talent in various programmes like singing, dancing fashion shows, short plays, dramas, etc. They also participate in the cultural programmes conducted by other colleges.

Placement

MIHMCT campus Interviews are organized by the Institute, where top ranking hotels interact with the students and conduct evaluations session. The students, therefore, have a bright opportunity of entering into a star hotel. Students are assessed by their employer during their internship and will receive their certificates only after the training has been successfully completed.

The Students internship programme are Conducted in hotels, restaurants, and other suitable catering outlets, both in India & abroad is an integral part of all courses at MIHMCT and is arranged and monitored by MIHMCT. The Institute offers 6 months Industrial Exposure Training and one month inter Training in various star hotels.
