Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta was the first Indian Institute of Management. It was established in the year of 1961. This is the only school in India which is triple accredited. College offers programs of postgraduate and doctorate in Management. IIM, Calcutta is also the member of Global Alliance In Management Education.

Over the years, IIM-C has been playing a pioneering role in the professionalizing Indian Management. The vision is to provide exceptionally great experience in studies. Its strong ties to the business community make it an effective mechanism for the promotion of professional management practices in Indian organizations.   • IIM Calcutta's auditorium is the best among those on any academic campus in the country. This world-class facility seats 750 and was built at a cost of over Rs 9 crores. In addition to air-conditioning, it is also equipped with a ultra modern , professional level light and sound system. The Audi, as we call it, hosts all the major events on the IIM C campus - from the Convocation and Intaglio to visits by emminent personalities like Kapil Dev or Indra Nooyi.

Laboratory

  • IIM Calcutta has set up a state-of-the-art Financial Research and Trading Lab (the Finance Lab).   • The library of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta was set up in March 1962 and named as B. C. Roy Memorial Library in the memory of Dr. B. C. Roy, the first Chairman of the Institute.
