The Indian Academy Degree College – Autonomous (IADC-A) started with a modest beginning in the year 1994. Currently, it is poised to have student strength of more than 3000-an astounding growth by all standards. The student profile spans across multi-cultural and diverse backgrounds, with people from over 37 countries and from across multiple states of India.

Bangalore University Affiliation

Indian Academy Degree College has been sanctioned Academic Autonomy as prescribed by U.G.C under section 64(1) of Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000 and under Section 4.8 of Bangalore University Autonomous College/Body Regulations-2005. IADC-A offers UG and PG courses in science, commerce, management and humanities – 17 undergraduate courses, 14 postgraduate courses and Ph.D programs in Life Sciences. IADC – Autonomous (IADC-A) has over 100 well-trained and qualified teaching staff and adequate supporting staff. It boasts of well-planned infrastructure with a strong ICT interface that fosters the teaching and learning process. Student-centric learning is given prime importance.

University Grant Commission (UGC) Recognition

IADC – Autonomous (IADC-A) has one of the rare distinctions of being recognised as a college with ‘2(f)’ and ’12(B)’ status, by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. This special status enables the college to receive central assistance and grants under teacher and student related schemes. Many a faculty member has succeeded in obtaining grants for research and developmental activities.

IADC – Autonomous (IADC-A) has been recognised as an ISO 9001:2008 certified organisation by internationally reputed TUV Rheinland. To align with the ideals of internal quality assurance, standard procedures and formats are used in the planning and execution of various activities prescribed in the quality manuals of ISO 9001:2008. Internal academic audits are regularly conducted to sustain and improve the quality of internal processes and other teaching-learning aspects.
