Department of Forensic Medicine, SRM University is a part of SRM University and approved by NAAC. Forensic medicine brings the investigative capabilities of modern medicine to the aid of law and justice. Here students will have to apply their knowledge of the various sciences to the human body.

Classroom

  • The Department has Modern Lecture Halls & "Smart Classrooms".

Laboratory

  • Department has well equipped labs with all modern facilities. The laboratory has a stock of X-ray images of over 50 individuals that are an invaluable aid to teach the students about estimation of age from ossification. The laboratory has 15 teeth moulds and ortho pantamographic photos to teach age estimation by dentition. The laboratory also has a large collection of bones to help students understand the various aspects of forensic sciences including age estimation.

Library

  • Department has an excellent library for the benefit of students.

Hostel

  • There are separate hostels for men and women on the campus, with all the necessary facilities. Among the hostels on this campus, 9 are dedicated for men and 6 for women. All the hostels are well-equipped, with adequate ventilation and lighting facility. Each room is fitted with tube lights and fans, and each student is provided with a cot, chair and a table. Periodicals and newspapers are supplied to each hostel.
