Department of Applied Optics and Photonics is a part of University of Calcutta. The department initiate and strengthen an integrated approach in the research and teaching in emerging areas like, imaging technology, optical Instrumentation including Astronomical Instrumentation, Photonics including laser engineering, fiber optics and integrated optics, nano-photonics, marine photonics, bio-photonics, etc.
