Department of Animal Nutrition is affiliated to Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. The Department's mission is to advise farmers to feed balanced and quality ration to livestock and poultry and to economize dairy and poultry farming, to advise farmers to adopt the technologies developed by Scientists for improving quality and availability of feedstuffs like Natural fermentation of straws/stovers with urea, ensiling of forages, hay making, urobran-an alternate of oilseed cakes, Urea molasses multi-nutrient block (UMMB) etc. and to give trainings to the livestock farmers for better livestock and poultry production to meet their requirements and for better livelihood. The department offers educational course in the field of Animal Nutrition.
