How do I get there?

Indian postal services officers are recruited through the civil service examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which requires a bachelor’s degree. 

Typical day in the life of a IPOS Officer

The normal working hours in administrative offices are from 9am to 5.30pm, five days in a week. However, a government servant like Indian postal services officer works 24x7, as per the call of duty. In addition to the administrative work at the office, there are field visits for inspections and supervision of the post office functions.
