TANCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

TANCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria brings complete information about academic qualifications and other pre-requisites for appearing in the TANCET 2020 exam scheduled to be held on 25th and 26th March 2020.

TANCET is conducted by Anna University every year for granting admissions to post graduate programmes namely, Master of Business Applications (MBA), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Architecture (M.Arch) and Master of Planning (M.Plan) at Government Colleges, Government Aided Colleges, University Departments, University Colleges of Anna University and Self-financing Colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Interested candidates must satisfy the eligibility requirement before filling the TANCET 2020 application forms, that have now been released on the official website. Last date for applications is 28th February 2020.

TANCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have obtained a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks of aggregate for General category and 45% marks for acndidates belonging to reserved category. 

Candidates shoud have qualified any of these following eligibility criteria.

  • 10+2+AMIE OR 10+3 year’s Diploma + AMIE
  • BE/ B. Tech/B. Arch degree
  • B. Pharm/ B. Sc (Agriculture/ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Fishery)
  • Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, mentioned above
  • M.Sc. (5 years) Integrated
  • B.Sc. degree (Computer Science / Information Technology) and M.Sc. (Computer Science/ Information Technology)
  • MCA after 10+2+3 year’s Bachelor’s degree
  • MCA Lateral Entry (2 years) after 10+2+3 year’s degree in BCA or B.Sc. (Computer Science/ Information Technology)

All candidates should note that GATE qualified candidates also have to appear for the TANCET 2020 exam. Candidates with a valid GATE 2020 score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers will have to necessarily appear for TANCET exam for the year 2020.
