NID 2020 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

NID 2020 exam pattern will provide details like the format of the exam, question paper, time duration, a total number of questions, marking scheme, weightage given to each section, subjects and sections covered in the question paper, etc.

NID exam pattern will help the candidates in understanding various aspects of the entrance exam, thus preventing them from any confusion over the format of the entrance exam. National Institute of Design decides the exam pattern of NID 2020. All aspiring candidates must go through the exam pattern of NID 2020 well in advance to have more clarity about the entrance exam.

NID Exam Pattern 2020:

The examination is designed to evaluate the following abilities of the candidate:

Knowledge, Analysis, Visualisation, Comprehension, Creativity

Part I: This part of the examination will contain multiple-choice questions only. The paper will be of 70 points.

Part II: The part II of the examination will contain subjective questions marked out of 30 points, with responses to be provided in visual and/or written format.

Papers: The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be only one question paper.

Duration: Total three hours will be given to students to solve the question paper.

Language: The question paper will be in the English language.

Type: The question paper will comprise of objective and subjective questions.

Marks: The question paper will contain 100 marks.

The studio test will be conducted in English Language and it will contain 100 marks.

Interview: Personal interview rounds will follow the Studio test.
