DU admission process is in full swing like any year in the past. The only thing different this time, and of course for good, is that candidates are saved from the fatigue to run from one college to another, fill application forms at different colleges, be in the queues to deposit the fee…thanks to the centralised registration process of Delhi University.

The online registration process started on June 1, 2020 and in access to 30,000 students successfully registered on the very first day. The last day to submit online form for DU admission is June 19, 2020. The first cut-off list will come on June 27th, 2020 the second on July 1, third on July 7, fourth one on July 12 and fifth, the last and final one, on July 16, 2020.

A good news for students this year, as Delhi University is making way for 2000 more students in 19 of its colleges from this year onward. These seats will be an addition to the current tally of 54,000 seats in 63 DU colleges. The university has already granted permission to 19 of its colleges to add 35 more courses. However, it is still subject to University Grants Commission’s (UGC) approval.

During the DU admission process, nine of its colleges have informed the university about their interested to start courses on condition they are subject to UGC approval. Even some of its courses might go in the self- financing mode. If the UGC approval comes on right time, the additional number students who will be able to enrol themselves into various courses under DU will be around 2000.
