MAT May 2015: Deadline for Online Registration is April 18, 2015

Management Aptitude Test (MAT 2015) is a national level entrance exam conducted under the supervision of All India Management Association (AIMA) to shortlist candidates for admission to MBA/PGDM and other allied programmes in various B-Schools across India. The entrance exam is being conducted since 1988 and in the year 2003 Ministry of HRD, government of India approved MAT as a National level test. The test is conducted 4 times a year; in February, May, September and December.

AIMA has announced on its official website that the deadline for submitting online application forms for MAT May 2015 is April 18, 2015. The registration process for the exam was opened in the first week of March 2015.

MAT May 2015 is conducted in paper pencil test as well as online computer-based exam. The Paper pencil test will be conducted on Sunday May 3, 2015. The test will be of 150 minutes and will be conducted from 10 AM to 12.30 PM. Candidates who have opted for the Computer-Based-Test will be required to appear in the test from Saturday May 9, 2015 onwards. The test will be held in different time slots subject to availability.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aspirants should have obtained bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
  • Aspirants appearing in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for MAT May 2015.
  • Aspirant must check the percentage requirement and MAT score for admission to various institute and colleges, depending on their rules and requirements.

Exam Pattern:

The exam consists of 200 objective type questions. Each question will carry one mark each and 0.25 will be deducted for every wrong answer. The total duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

  • Mathematical Ability: 40 Questions
  • Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions
  • Language Comprehension: 40 Questions
  • Data analysis and data sufficiency: 40 Questions
  • India and Global Environment: 40 Questions

Selection Procedure:

After the declaration of results, the participating B-schools will declare the shortlist of the applicants based on their cut-offs. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the Group Discussion, Personal Interview and or Written Ability Test (WAT)/Essay Writing rounds. On the basis of the admission criteria, the B-schools will declare the final list of selected students. Therefore, the MAT May 2015 selection procedure will vary from B-School to B-School.
