Jamia Millia Islamia has invited applications from eligible candidates seeking admission to its engineering courses for the academic year 2015. Interested candidates are required to appear and qualify in the Jamia Millia Islamia Engineering Entrance Exam (JMIEEE) 2015. Aspirants should note that the deadline to submit the application forms is May 1, 2015.

The JMIEEE exam is conducted for admission to B.Tech courses available at the University in the disciplines - Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communications and Computer Science. Candidates who are curious to know more can read further for eligibility, paper pattern and other crucial details.

Eligibility Criteria:

Aspirants must have passed Class 12th /Sr. Sec. School Certificate/ Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their core subjects, with a minimum of 55% marks in PCM.

OR

Candidates who have obtained Diploma Engineering degree recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3/4 year duration with not less than 55% marks are also eligible to appear in JMI EEE 2015.

Exam Pattern:

• There shall be a total of 170 questions in the exam.
• Students have to attempt 55 questions each from physics and chemistry.
• They also have to attempt 60 questions from math.
• Total duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates shall be selected on the basis of their performance in the written exam and interview. Cumulative marks of both will be analysed and calculated. 85% weight would be given to the written test while 15% weight would be given to the interview. Final admission will be given to the top scoring candidates.

Counselling Process:

Counselling will take place for those candidates who get included in the merit list. These candidates would fill the choices of their preferred colleges and courses in the decreasing order of priority. Choice filling has to be done online on the official website of the university.
