The Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar (IIM Amritsar) has attained 100% summer placement for its PGP 2015-17 maiden batch. IIM Amritsar’s summer internship process for PGP 2015-17 of 45 students had witnessed a participation of 32 companies.

Top notch multinationals have signed up the whole batch on hefty stipends for two-month internship programme. The average stipend summed up to be INR 32,571 while the average stipend of top 50% offered INR 50, 272. The highest stipend offered was INR 1.3 Lakh.

Marketing domain had bagged the highest recruitment with 51% of the total students participated followed by Finance with 22% offers. The other purviews included Consulting (9%), Operations (5%), Information Technology (IT) (4%) and others (5%).

The students were offered placements in companies like Airtel, Canara Bank, Ernst & Young, Goibibo, Cipla, Jasper Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra, Birla Finance, Technosoft, Franke Faber, KPMG, RBI, Pidilite, Yes Bank, Ogilvy & Mather, Dish TV, OYO Rooms, DHFL Pramerica, Muthoot Fincorp, Think & Learn (Byju Classes), Ambit Holdings etc.

The offers were made for various positions in domains such as finance, digital marketing, HR etc. at Noida, Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Gurgaon and Hyderabad.Out of the six afresh IIMs, IIM Amritsar and IIM Vishakhapatnam are done with the summer placements process. The remaining four IIMs namely, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Nagpur and IIM Sirmaur still have to conclude the summer internship process.
