The IIHMR University Organises Orientation Programme for Master of Social Work Students from Loyola College, Chennai

India’s globally recognized and leading healthcare research institutions, the Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) University, Jaipur conducted it’s 18th orientation programme today. The IIHMR University oriented seventeen students of Master of Social Work from Loyola College, Chennai on various segments such as Training, Research and Academics which are also the core focus areas of the IIHMR University, Jaipur.

Dr. Ashok Kaushik, Dean Academics and Student Affairs, IIHMR University said, “The IIHMR University is a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for District and Primary Healthcare in the state of Rajasthan. The IIHMR University has also been recognized as a collaborating, training institute by The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India since 2005 for the State of Rajasthan. Under such orientation programmes we have inducted over 18 colleges and schools and 740 students from the field of Business Management, Masters of Social Work, Library Science, Architecture etc. The IIHMR University plays a major role in conducting Management Development Programmes (MDPs)and Professional Development Courses (PDCs) where they have trained Deputy CMO, Deputy CMHO (Family Welfare), District RCH Officer, Block CMO, Senior Medical Officer and Medical Officers under their 17 series of PDCs and have developed  managerial competencies amongst the health work force  across the nation.”

Mr. D. Edward Sudhakar M.A. (S.W.), Faculty, Loyola College said that, “We are glad that the IIHMR University has agreed to provide an orientation to our students. As students of Social Work their key area of concern is how to cater to the people at the bottom of the pyramid. As the  IIHMR University has been associated with various projects such as ‘Aapni Yojna’ and many more and have catered to individuals at the bottom of the pyramid for over 30 years we are extremely delighted to have received their insights on social work and Rural Management.”
