With Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) just round the corner, Mr. Gautam Bawa, an MBA expert from Career Launcher gives his insights on what the candidates should keep in mind while appearing for the management entrance exam. They are as follows:

No Sectional Cutoffs

You must secure a non-negative score in each section and should look to maximize the score in your area(s) of strength. Do not spend time on a section in which you aren’t comfortable. Ideally, a student must not spend too much time on the section that he/she is not comfortable with. You need to score 95-100 overall, the sectional breakup is not important.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning - Most Important

The A&LR section comprises 30 questions of 2 marks each. This section has the highest marks per question and hence, ideally, one must start off the paper with this section and should spend as much as 50 minutes in this section. The LR sets are not extremely difficult and hence a score of 45 – 50 is achievable. The singlet questions in this section are at time sitters and one should certainly attempt these at the beginning to help build momentum.

Temperament

Like in any exam that tests speed and accuracy, SNAP also is a test of your temperament and checks your ability to stay calm and composed. You should not buckle under pressure at any point of time during the exam. Usually there are a few incorrect questions in the paper. The idea is not to waste your time on such questions. If you can’t crack a question in the first go, you must leave it only to come back to it if time permits.

In effect, temperament, speed and strategy are the three pillars of great performance in SNAP. CL will be coming up with the SNAP memory based paper on 20 December 2015, after the exam. Students can log into their official website to view the same and know their estimated score and percentile.

SNAP is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, 20th December, 2015. It is a Common Entrance Test which is mandatory to take admission in Master of Business Administration (MBA) in all institutes under Symbiosis International University (SIU).
