DU Off-Campus Colleges keep the hopes up for aspirants

It’s a race for the nation’s one of the most popular and sought after varsity and everyone wants to win. There is an ever increasing crowd of Delhi University aspirants and this year has seen nothing different.

All DU aspirants have their eyes set on the famous North and South Campus colleges for the admissions in the Delhi University. With the cut offs getting more and more unachievable every year there are many students who are left behind in this race.

The off campus DU colleges are a relief for the students who do not wish to give up on their Delhi University dream just yet. It is definitely a safer bet than losing out on DU altogether and settling for less. The off-campus might be a different route for pursuing the University but, may prove to be more viable.

There are many pros to the off-campus colleges which can make you consider them such as:

Comparatively lower cut offs- The colleges on the West and east have a relatively lower cut off benchmark. With an aggregate percentage of 70% to 80%, a student can easily make it to an off-campus DU college.

Much better Infra- There are many off campus colleges which have the best of buildings and infrastructure amongst the DU colleges. Maharaja Agrasen and Shaheed Sukhdev are two such colleges with the biggest campus. Other off campus colleges like PGDAV, Deshbandhu, Dyal Singh also have been improving their infra in the last few years.

Less ‘bheed-bhad’ (crowd)- It’s definitely low on the hustle and bustle of a crowd, which can really be a big relief considering the scorching heat long cue that have to be lined up for every process at the campus otherwise.

No Politics: If you are the peaceful-one and do not like politics then you are more likely to enjoy the off-campus non-political air at these colleges. There are no student unions like NSUI and ABVP on these college campuses.

There are several other benefits which might just be able to pull you an off campus college this year. Due to a lower number of students in these colleges the competition is bound to come down hence, the fight to survive it is also eased.

Now that you know these pros of these off-campus colleges of the Delhi University, we hope that some of your myths about them have also been broken and that now you look forward to an option before giving up on your DU dream.
