NEET-PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Post Graduate) is the eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma courses offered by all medical colleges under the realm of “Post Graduate Medical Regulations 2000” (as amended) notified by the Medical Council of India (MCI) with prior approval from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has notified the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for conducting the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Post Graduate courses (NEET-PG).


The NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from 23 November 2012 to 6 December 2012 at test centres located in 33 cities across the country. Out of these, 24th, 25th, 28th November and 2nd December 2012 are non-testing days i.e. no exam will be conducted on these days.

Note: Applicant may kindly note that appearance in NEET-PG does not confer any automatic rights to score a Post graduate MD/MS/Post Diploma seat. The selection and admission to Postgraduate seats in any medical institutions recognized for running MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma courses as per Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 is subject to fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, medical fitness and such criteria as may be prescribed by the respective universities, medical institutions, Medical Council of India, State/Central Government.

Applying for NEET-PG 2013

You need to register and apply online for NEET PG 2013. The NEET-PG application form will be available online from 4th October 2012 (9.30am). Once the link is active, you can also choose your examination centre, date and time through the online registration & scheduling system. Availability of test centre option is on a first come first served basis, and candidates will only be shown sessions that are available at the point of scheduling.

NEET PG Exam Fee

Rs.2,750/- (For SC/ST/PWD candidates)
Rs. 3750/- (For General/OBC candidates)

Information bulletin will not be sold separately, there is a composite voucher (as above) inclusive of examination fees and information bulletin.
