IBPS SO 2020 Syllabus

IBPS SO 2020 Syllabus - Institute of Banking Personnel and Selection (IBPS) is going to be conducted its annual recruitment exam for selecting Specialist Officer (SO) for various posts soon. The exam, IBPS SO, is conducted at a national level for selecting candidates who will be posted as Scale I officers at several public sector banks. 

Candidates clearing IBPS SO exam will be recruited for the post of IT Officer, Law Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Marketing Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari and HR/ Personnel Officer.

The upcoming IBPS SO exam for the year 2020 is going to be held on 28th and 29th of January 2020. The exam registrations are now closed. The call letters are available on the official website of IBPS.

IBPS SO 2020 Syllabus:

To be able to clear IBPS SO 2020 with ease, candidates should prepare the entire syllabus beforehand. The exam paper will be divided into different sections that are mentioned hereunder.

  1. English Language section includes Sentence Completion, Reading Comprehension, Identification of Errors, Grammar, Spelling Check, Vocabulary, Para Jumble, Para Substitution, Passage, Passage Completion, Synonyms & Antonyms, Choosing the Right Word, etc.
  2. The Reasoning section will have questions on Series Test, Seating Arrangements, Blood Relations, Odd One Out, Coded Inequalities, Statement & Conclusion, Assertion & Reason, Alphabets & Numbers, Cause & Effect, Syllogism & Analogies, Time Sequence, Analytical Reasoning, Coding & Decoding, etc.
  3. Quantitative Aptitude section includes Percentage, Probability, Calculus, Ratio & Proportion, Permutation & Combination, Speed & Distance, data Interpretation & Sufficiency, Decimal Fraction & Simplification, etc.
  4. Computer Aptitude section will consist of questions on Database management System, Digital electronics, Programming Language – C++ & OOPS, Software Engineering, Data Communication & Networking, Computer Design, Integrated Circuits, data Structure, etc.
  5. General Awareness section will test your knowledge and awareness in terms of concepts and current awareness related to the banking sector.

Candidates other than those applying for the post of IT Officer should thoroughly prepare on the specialisation related to their post.
