The results of CAT 2011 which is the qualifying examination for admissions to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management, has been declared today, 11th January 2011, around midnight.

Please ensure that you have your CAT registration data handy to retrieve your scorecard. You shall need the following:

• CAT Registration Number
• E-mail address exactly as supplied during CAT registration, as it appears on your Admit card.

CAT 2011 was held in a window period across Saturday, 22 October 2011 - Friday, 18 November 2011. A total of 1.85 lakh candidates took CAT 2011 at 68 test centres spread across 36 cities.

Getting a good score/percentile in CAT 2011 is just the 1st step for getting into one of the prestigious 13 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) & a host of other top B-schools across India. The 13 IIMs are:

5) IIM Indore
6) IIM Kozhikode

Soon, these IIMs & other top B-schools like FMS- Delhi, SP. Jain Mumbai will announce their cut-offs & the shortlisted students. These students will have to appear for the next round of selection i.e. Group Discussions & Personal Interviews.

Most of the IIMs will be conducting a Written Assessment Test (WAT) instead of Group Discussions (GD). Personal Interviews however will still be a part of the selection process.
