DU University LLB entrance exam 2020 is going to take place in June and interested candidates are already gearing up for the national-level law exam. The exam will be held in the third week of June and the result will be declared in the first week of July.

Delhi University undergraduate law programme has a total of 2,310 seats in the three-year course. The application form for the exam is going to be available from May 31, 2020. DU LLB Application Procedure

To apply for Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020, candidates need to fill the application form and submit it before the last date. To do so, the candidate needs a valid email ID and password. The form needs to be filled with caution, as filling in the wrong details can lead to rejection of the form. Follow the below steps to complete the application process.

·         Register on the official Delhi University website

·         Click on DU LLB Application Form 2020

·         Click on New User Registration link

·         Fill all the details like basic details and number of marks scored

·         Upload the scanned copy of a photograph and a signature in the pre-specified format

·         Recheck all the details before submitting the application form

·         Thereafter, a registration link will be sent to your email ID

·         Click on the link to register

·         Take a printout for future reference

DU LLB Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020, aspirants need to meet the minimum eligibility terms set in place by the University.

First, the candidates need to have completed their graduation from a recognised university in any stream and their age needs to be below 30 years. The candidate needs to have scored a minimum of 50% marks in graduation to be eligible. For SC/ST and OBC, the minimum number of marks in graduation is 40% and 45% respectively.

Along with this, candidates in the final year of graduation/post-graduation can also apply for the LLB entrance exam. In that case, such candidates will be offered provisional admission which will be confirmed once they clear the degree examination. 

DU LLB Fee Submission

Aspirants looking to get into LLB course offered by DU are required to pay the fees for Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020. Candidates can pay the fees over the counter or via one of the online modes. For general category, a fee of INR 700/- needs to be paid via online mode or over the counter purchase.

For SC/ST category, the fee is INR 250/- via online payment mode or over the counter payment. Through the post, the fee is INR 300/-.  

DU LLB Entrance Exam Date

The Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020 date is yet to be announced, but candidates can expect the exam to be held in the last week of June 2020. All the candidates need to carry the admit card at the time of exam as a proof of identity. Failing to produce the same before the examiner can result in disqualification of the candidate from the exam. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter their credentials on the official DU website.

DU LLB Syllabus

The Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020 has an extensive syllabus and candidates can expect it to be tough. As a general rule, the entrance exam will have objective type questions with multiple choices. The paper will comprise of 175 questions of 4 marks each. Wrong answers will have negative marking, and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

This exam will come in two parts with one having questions on General Knowledge, Current affairs and English language. The other part will have questions to test aptitude and legal awareness.

DU LLB Cut-Off trend

The cut-off for Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020 will be decided by the higher management of the university. Candidates who make it past the cut-off point are going to be shortlisted for the counselling for the LLB course. In a way, the LLB cut-off will be the minimum rank required to get admission to the programme.

DU LLB Preparation Tips

A good strategy can make your DU LLB aspirations a lot easier. The Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020 is going to be difficult for sure, but planning for the exam in right way can lead to success. First of all, you need to prepare yourself for Legal Aptitude and Constitution section which focuses on legal aptitude and Indian politics related to legal aspects. Study a lot about Indian constitution, its structure and schedules.  

General knowledge and current affairs is another area that needs deep preparation to crack Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020. Going through past year papers gives a good idea about the general pattern for GK questions. Candidates should study about UN bodies, their function and locations. Also, having knowledge about Indian Constitution/Justice System, Indian geography and history is advised.   

Students also need to have basic arithmetic knowledge based on class 10th concepts. There are only going to be 5-7 questions on the subject, so candidates not that strong in Mathematics can still think of scoring well.

After Result Preparation

Once the Delhi University LLB entrance exam 2020 result is announced, the candidates who have made it past the cut-off need to appear for counselling. They need to be prepared with all the supporting documents to finally get into DU’s LLB programme.

In case any candidate is found to have misrepresented personal information or fails to produce the documents at the time of counselling, his/her candidature will be cancelled. There can be six counselling rounds for LLB course, so candidates need to be well prepared.

Depending on the merit list, candidates will be allotted seats and after that, they need to pay the admission fees for the 3-year LLB programme.
