Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay will conduct the Common Entrance Examination for Design 2020 (CEED 2020) from 10 am to 1 pm on December 6, 2015.

The design entrance exam is meant to test candidates’ aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity and communication skills.

Candidates who qualify can get admission in Master of Design (MDes) programmes offered at IIT Bombay, IISc Bangalore, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur and IIT Hyderabad.

CEED scores can also be used for admission in PhD programmes offered in design courses at IIT Bombay, IISc Bangalore, IIT Kanpur and IIT Hyderabad.

However, qualifying in CEED alone is not the only criteria for admission. In addition to the weightage given to the CEED score, participating institutions may conduct further tests and/or interviews for the final selection/admission.

Candidates’ eligibility, the category certificates and other documents will also be verified during the admission process. There is no age limit to sit for CEED and a candidate can take the examination any number of times.

The validity of CEED 2020 score is one year from the date of announcement of the results.
