GATE Chemical 2020 Eligibility Criteria- IIT Guwahati is all set to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2020 on February 03, 04, 10 & 11, 2020. The information brochure and application form will be released online on September 01, 2020. To apply online, candidates need to satisfy all eligibility norms of GATE 2020 Exam.

Always remember filling wrong eligibility and educational details may lead to the cancelation of your application form without any prior notice. GATE Chemical 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The GATE 2020 Eligibility comprises age limit, educational qualification and nationality of the candidate. Aspirants have to meet all eligibility norms to apply for the examination..

GATE Chemical 2020 Eligibility- Nationality

  • Indian Nationals having valid proof can apply online for the exam.
  • Candidates from Nepal, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka can apply for the exam.

Candidates’ nationality would be verified at the time of admission and he/she needs to submit an ID valid proof. Hence, recheck all entered details before finally submitting the filled GATE 2020 application form.

GATE Chemical 2020 Eligibility- Age Limit

There is no age limit for appearing in GATE Examination.

GATE Chemical 2020 Eligibility- Educational Qualification

Qualifying Degree

Qualifying Degree / Examination

Description of Eligible Candidates

B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharm.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc./ Diploma in Engineering/ Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs

Candidates who have complete the degree before 2020 or Appearing candidates can apply.

B. Arch.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Five years course)

Candidates who have complete the degree before 2020 or Appearing candidates can apply.

B.Sc. (Research)/ B.S.

Bachelor’s degree in Science (Post-Diploma/ 4 years after 10+2)

Candidates who have complete the degree before 2020 or Appearing candidates can apply.

M. Sc./ M.A./ MCA or equivalent

Master’s degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics / Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent

Candidates who have complete the degree before 2020 or Appearing candidates can apply.

Int. M.E/ M.Tech (Post-B.Sc.)

Post-BSc Integrated Master’s degree programs in Engineering / Technology (Four year program)

Candidates who have complete the degree before 2020 or Appearing candidates can apply.

Int. M.E./ M.Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2)

Integrated Master’s degree program or Dual Degree program in Engineering / Technology (Five year program)

Candidates who have complete the degree before 2019 or Appearing candidates can apply.

Int. M.Sc/ Int. B.S.-M.S.

Integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B. S./ M. S. program

Candidates who have complete the degree before 2020 or Appearing candidates can apply.

Professional Society Examination (equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch.)

B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch. equivalent examinations of Professional Societies, recognized by MHRD/ UPSC/ AICTE (e.g., AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers-India)

Completed Section A or equivalent of such professional courses

 

For International Candidates-

Candidates should possess a degree in Chemical Engineering or are in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Post-graduate (M.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering.

Minimum Qualifying Marks for Chemical Engineering

Candidates have to attain the minimum qualifying marks in the Chemical Engineering examination to get admission in desired PG courses. Here, check the previous year’s minimum marks to qualify the exam. The qualifying marks may vary on the basis of the difficulty level of exam and number of candidates appeared.

  • For General Candidates- 44.30
  • For OBC Candidates- 39.80
  • For SC/ ST/ PwD Candidates- 29.50
