AILET 2020 Exam Pattern – AILET 2020, an acronym for All India Law Entrance Test, is a paper-based examination conducted to screen candidates interested to study law at undergraduate and postgraduate level. National Law University (NLU) is the apex body that conducts this examination every year to admit students in the law courses offered by the university and other institutes affiliated to the university.

The upcoming AILET 2020 examination will be conducted on May 7, 2020. According to the official notification released by NLU, aspiring candidates can fill-in the application forms from January 3, 2020 onwards. All candidates are advised to submit the duly filled-in application forms before the last date i.e. April 7th, 2020.

AILET 2020 Exam Pattern:

AILET 2020 question paper, for students applying for BA LLB, will consist of 150 multiple choice questions in total. The question paper will be divided into five different sections where 35 questions will be on English, 10 on Basic Mathematics, 35 on General Knowledge, 35 on Legal Aptitude and 35 on Reasoning. Each question will carry one mark.

Question paper for LLM students will consist of 100 multiple type questions and 1 essay question. Each multiple choice question will carry one mark while the essay will be of 50 marks.

Candidates applying for PhD course will have to appear for two papers – Research Methodology and Research Proposal Specific. While paper 1 will consist of 100 multiple choice questions, paper 2 will have a limit of 15 pages on the topic of their research.

BA LLB applicants, LLM applicants and PhD applicants appearing for paper one will get 90 minutes to answer the questions.
